Letter from the Editor: Upper Dublin Patch Turns One
Reflecting on the first year of covering the community.
Wednesday, December 21 marks the one-year anniversary of the launch of Upper Dublin Patch. 365 days ago, the site went live with a dozen articles, ranging from a video story on a boys basketball loss in the Tip-Off Tournament championship game, to the oh-so-hard hitting piece on the Mondaug Bark Park needing improvement. I like to think we've grown a lot since then. Over the course of a year, I've gone from being mistaken for a high school student attending meetings for extra credit (the lowest moment was when I was stopped by a bus driver who suspected me of cutting class), to being approached by people with ideas for stories while going to get my haircut. i just started reading UD Patch a few weeks ago, and now it is a regular part of my day. It's on my bookmarks toolbar, and i'm getting the daily email. UD is a great community to live in and this Patch does a very good job of covering the news. Thanks for your hard work and Happy Holidays. more ›
