Family Offering $10,000 Reward for Hit-and-Run Information

Coutts family offering $10,000 reward for information regarding the Honda Odyssey involved in a hit-and-run accident that injured their 15-year-old son.

After 15-year-old Matt Coutts was injured by a hit-and-run driver in early April, the Fort Washington family is offering a $10,000 reward for finding a silver or dark colored Honda Odyssey that was involved in the incident. “15-year-old boy was riding his bike eastbound on the 200 block of Tomlinson Road in Northeast Philadelphia along the north curb of the westbound lane. Investigators say a minivan traveling westbound hit the bike then swerved into the eastbound lane, striking 15-year-old Matt Coutts of West Pottsgrove while he was riding his skateboard,” according to the original NBC report. As previously reported by Patch, Matt suffered a broken left shoulder, broken left leg below the knee and abrasions all over his body, caused by …

Former President Clinton’s Montgomery County Visit Attracts Hundreds

Addressing an audience of over 500 people, Bill Clinton discusses his endorsement of state attorney general candidate Kathleen Kane.

By approximately 5:15 p.m., yesterday afternoon, Dr. Warren Rosen and his wife Carol had been patiently waiting in line for a little over a half-an-hour. Standing in the Upper Moreland High School parking lot, the Rosens marked the halfway point in a line easily hundreds of people thick – and quickly growing by the minute. The couple, who travelled from Rydal, were waiting to attend a “Get Out the Vote” rally in support of Democratic state attorney general candidate Kathleen Kane. Neither were shy in expressing their excitement over seeing the rally’s special guest speaker: former President Bill Clinton. “He’s a great man, why wouldn’t we want to come see a great man?” Warren Rosen asked. “He’s always entertaining, and it’s enjoyable …

I know I should stop, but really Mr. Roturra, "corrupting our nation"? Honestly? A party that wants everyone to have health-care, that wants to raise taxes on the very wealthy, and lower them for the poor and middle class; a party that believes every child should have the chance to go to college. Have you listed to the things the GOP candidates have been saying? Santorum wants to throw up when …   more ›

UMHS Student in Hit-and-Run Expected to Make Full Recovery

Doctors say Upper Moreland High School freshman Matt Coutts' recuperation will be long and difficult, but several Montco communities have responded with much support.

After undergoing surgery on Monday at Childern’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) for severe injuries sustained in a hit-and-run incident, 15-year-old Upper Moreland resident Matt Coutts is expected to make a full recovery, family sources say. However, family members also say his recuperation will be a long and difficult one. “Head injuries could take months,” Ed Coutts, Matt’s father said earlier this week. “He’s in and out, and still in a lot of pain.” According to news reports, Matt was riding his skateboard with friends along the eastbound side of the 200 block of Tomlinson Road in Northeast Philadelphia at approximately 9:30 p.m., March 30. At that time, reports say, a silver Honda Odyssey was travelling westbound, when it swerved into…
