Gov. Corbett Sues NCAA

The state of Pennsylvania is suing after the NCAA sanctioned Penn State.

  Gov. Tom Corbett announced Wednesday that he is suing the National Collegiate Athletic Association for its sanctions against Penn State University. Corbett called the sanctions arbitrary and illegal, saying they would hurt the university, the state and Pennsylvanians. What do you think of this lawsuit? Poll: Is the Penn State Punishment Fair?

PSU hit with four-year postseason ban and $60 million penalty.

The NCAA levied numerous sanctions against Pennsylvania State University Monday morning, including a ban that will keep its football team from competing in any postseason play for the next four seasons and a $60 million fine. The NCAA will also strip the program of 112 wins – all but one of which came under Joe Paterno – dating back to 1998. The vacated victories mean that Paterno will no longer hold the title of winningest coach in college football history. Penn State will also be required to reduce its number of football scholarships from 25 to 15 over the next four seasons. this whole thing was about children being hurt. so some feel that the solution is to hurt more children with sanctions including our worthless president. i have 2 children at this wonderful school who are feeling depressed. its just not right.   more ›
