Mighty Macs Name Bryan Torresani As Head Baseball Coach

The Abington-native's name might look familiar. His father's coached at Abington HS for more than 30 years, while his wife is an Upper Dublin teacher.

The baseball genes must run in the family. Bryan Torresani, of Willow Grove, was named the Immaculata University's baseball coach according to a recent release from the college. He has a number of local connections. The Torresani name might look familiar. His father, Dave, has been the coach of the Abington High School baseball team for more than 30 years. Others might recognize the last name because of a local teacher. "My wife is a teacher in the Upper Dublin School District, so we are pretty settled," Torresani said in a recent interview with Daily Local. Wow. Adam Young really does know Dave Torresani really well. By the way, Dave has not coached the Abington High School Baseball team for 30 years. More like 5, but who is counting? I would think that since the editor of the Patch went to Abington High School, he would know that, but...oh well. UPDATE: Upper Dublin Teacher Bremble Arrested for Corruption of a Minor

Teacher Cheryl Bremble was arrested on multiple charges.

Cheryl Bremble, 40, an Upper Dublin High School teacher, was arrested Friday on charges of endangering the welfare of a child, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor and related offenses, according to a press release from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. The release, a joint announcement between DA Risa Vetri Ferman and Upper Dublin Township Police Chief Terrence Thompson, states that Bremble “began spending a lot of time with the juvenile victim outside of the school setting, including shopping trips where she (Bremble) purchased her several expensive clothing items. Bremble also had sexually explicit conversations with the juvenile victim in person and via text messages." she was an ok teacher. for the most part she did her job but she did always got off topic and always boasted about her wealthy boyfriend and how she is never wrong. she truly didn't strike me as the type to do this kind of thing, honestly. i also hope this doesn't put a bad rep on my school. we have truly good teachers. by far better then any other school i been to, and i been to a few. ps: she …   more ›
