Alleged Public Drunkenness and Recent Thefts in Upper Dublin

Theft … On Monday, April 29 at about 7:30 p.m., a victim in the 700 block of Signal Hill Road reported that someone had stolen $8,000 from the victim’s bank account on April 25, police said. According to police, the victim said that someone had deposited a large amount of money into the victim’s account and also withdrew $8,000 at the same time. The signature on the check was the victim’s name, but the victim did not sign the check, police said. --  Identity theft attempt … On April 24, someone tried to access credit card accounts and attempted to “cash out” an unknown amount of money from a credit card account belonging to a resident in the 200 block of Navajo Path in Ambler, police said.  The victim received calls from a retail store and…

Theft from a Church and More Police Reports

Someone steals from a church, someone steals a motorcycle and someone asks for some money in a roundabout way.

Theft … Someone stole about $50 from a poor box in the vestibule of St. Alphonsus Church on Conwell Drive sometime before March 13 at 9:34 a.m., police said. According to police, the person cut the pad lock to the box and took the money and the offering envelopes. There was also damage done to the donation box. Suspicious person … On March 14 at 11:30 a.m. someone called a resident of the 700 block of Honey Run Road in Ambler and told the homeowner that the homeowner had won a $1 million lottery, $10,000 in cash and a new car, police said. According to police, the caller — a man with a Middle Eastern sounding accent … who identified himself as a woman, Mary — told the homeowner to go to CVS and to buy a Green Dot money pack scratch card …

Drunken Man Blocks Road with SUV, Police Say

Upper Dublin Police arrested a Fort Washington man after he allegedly fell asleep … while on the street.

Upper Dublin Police arrested a man Sunday night for DUI after he was allegedly asleep or passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle while the car was in gear.  Micheal James Skahan, 34, of Goodman Drive, Fort Washington, was arrested March 17 shortly before 9 p.m. after police said he was blocking the straight lane of westbound Susquehanna Road near Fitzwatertown Road with his white Lincoln MKX. According to police, Skahan was slumped forward in the driver’s seat, but was breathing; the vehicle was in gear, but not moving due to the grade of the road.  When Skahan woke up, he seemed surprised and was not aware of his surroundings, police said. A Pair of Suspected DUIs

Upper Dublin Police arrest two on suspicion of DUI.

DUI  … Sharandeep Singh, 21, of 2000 block of Blair Mill Road, Willow Grove, was arrested March 8 at 11:42 p.m. near the corner of Susquehanna and Twining roads after he made an illegal turn on red while driving a blue Kia Sorento, police said. According to police, Singh did not pull over immediately and there was a strong odor of alcohol coming from the passenger compartment. Singh was unsteady on his feet, police said, and had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol. He admitted to drinking, had a blood alcohol content of 0.197 percent and was released into the custody of a family member. --  DUI .. Upper Dublin Police Reports

A pair of DUIs and a scuffed Murano

  Property damage … On Jan. 20 at 6:10 p.m. police responded to the Maple Glen shopping center after a tractor trailer had backed into a Dumpster behind Gio’s Pizza. According to police, the Dumpster was pushed into a yellow parking pole, forcing the pole out of the ground. The driver of the truck said he made contact with the Dumpster but did not know he caused any damage.  Dog complaint … On Jan. 19 at 3:03 p.m. someone reported that a black Doberman had bitten his dog at the Mondauk Dog Park on Camp Hill Road and then left the area, police said. Otis, I'm not sure what you're talking about in regard to a "link" to the fights. Maybe I should start filming them and putting them on YouTube. That way there would be documentation of them. As for last Saturday's fight, I personally witnessed it. Apparently, although the police were there for almost an hour, they didn't feel the need to make a report of it. UDPD Reports: Brand New iPhone 5 Stolen from LA Fitness

Police incident reports from Upper Dublin Township Police Department.

Theft - On Thursday, Dec. 27, at 8:36 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the Rose Valley Cemetery behind the Upper Dublin Lutheran Church at the 400 block of Susquehanna Rd. in Ambler for a report of a burglary just discovered. The victim told the officer that the garage, the large storage shed and the Rose Valley Cemetery are owned by the Upper Dublin Lutheran Church. The victim said that he is an employee, and the office also spoke with the scoutmaster for a Boy Scout Troop. UDPD Reports: Man Tries to Buy Dinner at Wendy's With Fraudulent $100 Bill

Warrant Service - On Wednesday, Dec. 5 at approximately 2 p.m., UDPD was notified that Jon Grob of Fort Washington was  wanted on a County Bench Warrant. At approximately 2:30 p.m., officers served the warrant at the 500 block of Summit Ave. in the Fort Washington section of Upper Dublin Township. At approximately 2:45 p.m., the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office advised that Grob would need to be picked up. Hit and Run - On Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 6:29 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Church of the Open Door to meet with the victim of a hit and run accident. UDPD Reports: Two Hit and Runs

Police incident reports from Upper Dublin Police Department.

Theft from Vehicle - On Nov. 26 at approximately 7:32 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Ellerslie Ave for a report of a theft from a vehicle. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the victim who said that between Nov. 25 at 2:20 a.m. and Nov. 26 at 7 a.m., a person entered her vehicle and stole a camera. The vehicle was unlocked. The camera is a silver Kodak Easy Share. The victim did not hear anything suspicious and there are no other victims. Hit and Run - On Nov. 20 at 11:44 a.m., an officer responded to 1650 Limekiln Pike (parking lot of the Dresher McDonald's) on the report of a hit and run. UDPD Reports: Tire Slashed on Washington Ave.

Police incident reports from Upper Dublin Township Police Department.

Hit and Run - On Monday, Nov. 5, at approximately 4:58 p.m., an officer was on patrol in the area of the 200 block of Stout Rd. in Ambler. At that time, the officer observed a white VW Jetta with noticeable damage to the driver's side mirror. Police pulled over the vehicle and spoke to the driver who stated: The car had been parked on Stout Rd. along the 200 block. At some point another vehicle had driven by and hit her vehicle on the driver's side, destroying her mirror. THe officer did observe a silver paint transfer along the edge of the driver's side door panels. The black mirror from the Jetta had been smashed and was off the vehicle.
