Former Shanachie Back Up for Sale

The former Shanachie building is back on the market for $1.1 million.

According to MontcoREsource, the former Shanachie building is back on the market for $1.1 million, validating the rumors that Doc Magrogan’s was pulling out of the deal to open an oyster bar in Ambler are true. The owner's of Ambler's Shanachie announced it would be closing at the end of March, after a month-long St. Patrick's Day party. Owner Gerry Timlin told Patch that personal issues had pushed him to make the decision to sell the restaurant. The building, which is listed as 6,000 sq. ft. on a 1,560 sq. ft. lot, holds 30 at the bar, and has up to 150 seating capacity in the dining room, a “state-of-the-art” kitchen and the building was built in 1935.
