Arbor Hill Estate in Fort Washington has dropped its asking price.
According to an article in the Wall Street Journal, the 70-acre estate in Fort Washington called Arbor Hill has dropped its asking price to $25 million. The previous asking price was $30 million, a difference of 17 percent. The 40,000 square-foot main house, has "eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, oak floors and floor-to-ceiling windows." The house is built around a stone courtyard and has a finished basement with a 4,000 bottle wine cellar. "In addition to the main house has a 20,000-square-foot 'play house' with an indoor clay tennis court, a gym and a three-bedroom apartment. Zillow is a great tool for consumers to gauge home prices in their area or for an area that they are considering moving to. Zillow tracks all the pertinent real estate information regarding listings and sales in the area. They have complex mathematical models that provide an estimated home value for every single house, known as the Zestimate. However, while Zillow is able to access tax record information (such as age, lot size, square footage, number of bedrooms, bathrooms, size of basement, garage, etc), it has no mathematical way of assessing the condition of a home.
