It's the second week of the New Year-- how are those "eat healthy" and "lose weight" resolutons coming along? If they could use a boost, I've got a tip that is one of my personal favorites when it comes to healthy habits. Green shakes. In 2009, as a 30th birthday present to myself I hired a personal trainer (www.holisticfitnessbymikethomas.com) to get myself into shape. I have always been athletic, but I had let my physical fitness slip a bit since my early 20's and I was convinced that my 30's were going to be my fittest decade yet. In addition to the whole "working out" side of hiring a trainer comes the whole "eating right" thing. I mean, why work your body hard 6 days a week if you are going to be stuffing your face with cheese puffs…

Green smoothies are great!! I'm so glad you are enjoying them (between the restaurant meals!) Mine are a little simpler than the one you listed, and you're right, they get easier to prepare as you get more used to making them.
