Three from Upper Dublin Ace the SATs

Three students had perfect scores on the 2400-point test. Two others missed only one.

Five students at Upper Dublin High School have a lot to be proud of this year. The three juniors netted perfect scores on a recent SAT. Another two students missed only one. According to a report in the Ambler Gazette, Julie Baldassano, of Maple Glen, Benjamin She, of Ambler, and William Raynor, of Dresher all scored a perfect 2400 on the test, which is used as a standardized entrance exam for many colleges and unviersities. Alan Yang, of Dresher, missed only one math question when he took the exam. Emily Zauzmer, of Dresher, said she left one math question blank, making it her only "miss" on the exam. The five from Upper Dublin were happy with their performances. “I still don’t really believe it,” Baldassano told the Gazette. “I was …

Upper Dublin's Kevin Li Scores Perfect SAT

Offers advice to fellow students.

According to the College Board, the odds that a student will open the mail and find they have earned the top score of 2400 on the SAT are 1 in 5,152. If that doesn’t sound too rare, consider that roughly 500 Upper Dublin students take the exam each year, meaning that a perfect score would be roughly a once in a decade experience. Well, ‘once in a decade,’ has arrived, as Upper Dublin’s Kevin Li recently scored a perfect 2400 on the nation’s most well known test, adding it to a list of impressive accomplishments. “I was pleasantly surprised with my score,” said Li, who was taking the exam for the first and only time. “After I took the test I couldn’t think of too many errors that I had made, but there is always room for mistakes.” Jennifer …
