The Dresher man, who pled guilty in December to burglary, theft, stalking and invasion of privacy, was sentenced Wednesday.
A Dresher man, who broke into a Springfield woman’s home and stole just her underwear, was sentenced Wednesday. Kornwell H. Chan, 38, of Audubon Drive, Dresher, was sentenced to 11-and-a-half to 23 months incarceration followed by eight years’ probations on Wednesday, according to multiple reports. According to an earlier story on Upper Dublin Patch, Kornwell was arrested in January 2012 and charged with burglary, criminal trespass, stalking and related offenses, following an investigation by the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office and Upper Dublin and Springfield Police Departments. Kornwell H. Chan of Upper Dublin, has pled guilty in Montgomery County Court to charges of "burglary, stalking, theft by unlawful taking, invasion of privacy and possessing an instrument of crime in connection with incidents that occurred in Springfield and Upper Merion between October 2011 and May 2012," according to a report in the Ambler Gazette. Chan, 37, of the 1900 block of Audubon Drive, admitted to stalking and stealing the underwear of a Springfield woman as well as looking up the dress of a woman at a store in King of Prussia. Kornwell Chan, of Dresher, who was arrested in January for allegedly burglarizing a home and stealing a woman’s underwear and again in May for a peeping incident at the King of Prussia Mall, is fighting the peeping charges.
According to Montgomery Media, a Dresher man already awaiting a trial for allegedly breaking into a Springfield woman's home in January and stealing her underwear, is fighting charges he also used a camera to look up another woman's dress at the King of Prussia Mall in May. Kornwell Chan, of Dresher, who was arrested in Jan. 2012 for burglarizing a home and allegedly stealing only women’s underwear, has been arrested on Sunday for another incident. According to 6ABC, Chan is charged with using a camera to look up a woman’s skirt at the King of Prussia Mall. A loss prevention officer recognized him from a flier that was handed out a few months prior. The flier was created after an incident in September in which a man was spotted looking up a woman’s dress with a hidden camera. Chan has been out on $100,000 bail. According to the 6ABC report, the D.A.’s office had filed a bail revocation motion because of these new charges. Chan is currently being held on $500,000 bail.
