Dining Out for Life is Thursday, April 25.
Dining Out for Life, a day long fundraiser for HIV/AIDS at local restaurants will be held on Thursday, April 25 in the Philadelphia region. Over 150 restaurants in the region will be donating 33 percent of the night's proceeds for benefit HIV/AIDS research and men and women living with HIV/AIDS. Locally, Roberto's Trattoria, at 700 Bethlhem Pike in Glenside; Trax Restaurant, at 27 W Butler Pike in Ambler will both be participating for any meal all day on Thursday. Hard rock band to spend its 25th "anniversary" with Keswick Theatre on April 4.
Who remembers "Cult of Personality?" The fixture on the MTV network was the result of a hard rock band called Living Colour. The band is scheduled to perform its show "Vivid" at the Keswick Theatre on April 4. According to the band's website, the show will be held at the popular Glenside theater, and tickets will cost $39.50 and $29.50. A New Jersey man entered the house of a former partner of ten years and took his cat earlier this week, according to a UDPD report.
It appears local police have apprehended a literal cat burglar. According to a report filed at the Upper Dublin Police Department, officers were dispatched to a home on the 100 block of Woodlyn Avenue, Glenside, on the evening of March 27 for the report of a burglary in process. A resident at that address, who was not home at the time, had been contacted by neighbors who told him that the lights were on in his home and that the white Jaguar XK8 convertible of a former partner was parked down the street, the report said. Upon arrival, police located the suspect, James Ryan, 49, of Bayone, N.J., and found in the backseat of his Jaguar a black cat belonging to the homeowner.
