Laurel House Responds to Robb Parole Decision
The Norristown-based domestic violence agency has issued a statement expressing their agreement in the recent denial of Rafael Robb’s early parole.
From Laurel House: "On behalf of our organization’s staff, board members, volunteers, and most importantly, on behalf of victims of domestic violence, we are relieved by the recent news that parole was denied for Rafael Robb," stated Beth Sturman, Executive Director of Laurel House, which is a domestic violence agency located in Norristown. Robb was sentenced in 2008 to serve five to ten years for the brutal murder of his wife, Ellen Robb. After learning that Mr. Robb was granted early release by the State Parole Board, Ellen’s family lead efforts to advocate against his early release. Absolutely true...there seems to be little balance when a person kills someone...to have a 5-10 year sentence for MURDER? How can that be?To parole that horrible man sends a frightening message to all those being abused.
