Dangerous Intersection at 63 and Jarrettown Road

The intersection of state route 63 and Jarrettown Road is potentially dangerous and something needs to be done by the state.

You're driving westbound on Welsh road (route 63) during rush hour.  Traffic is slow moving.  Suddenly, after the light at Dresher Road, this two lane road merges into one.  The traffic slows even more with the heavy volume of cars forced to merge into one lane. You're so close to the turning lane.  All you want to do is turn left onto Jarrettown Road.  In an effort to get to where you're going a little bit faster, you decide to drive the short distance on the wrong side of the road.  No one is coming on the opposing side of traffic, and you figure you'll be fine. The problem is that someone in the single lane of traffic also needs to get into the turning lane, and they've been waiting their turn.  Horns are now blaring.  An accident very …

I drive this 2-4 times a day and don't agree. Traffic flows better when people making left turns can carefully get off the main road and over to the lefthand turn lane. Nothing frustrates me more than the cement bank at 63 and Fitzwatertown. There's a lefthand arrow and no one can get over to use it because we're stuck in the main lanes and can't get out & over.
