NMS Labs celebrates 40 years of service

You don’t need to go to Hollywood to find a CSI lab. In fact, you don’t even need to leave the area code.

Headquartered at the intersection of Route 63 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike, NMS Labs, a leading laboratory in the fields of clinical toxicology and forensic testing, celebrated its 40th anniversary of service this year. Originally named National Medical Services, NMS Labs was founded in 1970 by toxicologist Dr. Fredric Rieders and has since become an internationally recognized facility with a passion for research, innovation and family values. National Medical Services began with eight employees, just five in the lab, and throughout the 1970s worked primarily with occupational and industrial testing.
