Upper Dublin Stresses Caution In Wake Of Recent Fires
A mixture of dry and windy weather conditions has increased the risk of fire across southeastern Pennsylvania.
With the recent outbreak of dry and windy weather conditions, Upper Dublin Township officials are asking that residents use extra caution when working with an open flame or other flammable materials. "Our team wants to caution people to be very careful in this particular weather," said Paul Leonard, Upper Dublin Township Manager. "It's been dry and we're near drought conditions." Leonard points out that a number of devastating fires have hit southeastern Pennsylvania over the last week, including a warehouse fire in Kensington which left two Philadelphia firefighters dead, a 540-acre wildfire at French Creek State Park, the Bloomfield Mansion fire in Radnor and the apartment fire in Upper Merion.
