Charges Held Over In Fireside Assault

Marino Tambourino, of Ambler, will face a formal arraignment in county court at 9:30 a.m on July 18.

Following an unsuccessful attempt to have his charges dropped during a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, Marino Tambourino, of Ambler, will face a formal arraignment at the county courthouse on July 18. Tambourino, 35, has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person, in connection with the alleged Saint Patrick's Day beating of a Lansdale man at the Fireside Bar and Grill in Ambler. According to a report by Linda Finarelli with the Ambler Gazette, defense attorney Scott Krieger argued that the charges should be dropped because the victim did not testify. Fireside Beating Victim Released from Hospital

The police investigation continues.

Dave Rogers, the Lansdale resident who was beaten inside the Fireside Bar and Grille during St. Patrick's Day festivities early Sunday, has been released from Abington Memorial Hospital. Rogers, who on Sunday posted a picture to his Facebook that showed his face badly bloodied and bruised, was discharged from the hospital Monday evening, according to an on-duty nurse at the hospital. Upper Dublin Police have not yet released official information about the incident as an investigation is ongoing, but detectives did say that police were called to the Fireside at 1:12 a.m. on Sunday. Detectives also told Patch they were speaking with witnesses and reviewing video surveillance from the Fireside to try and identify any suspects involved. Police…
