Disney is getting things moving on three new "Star Wars" movies, following its $4 billion purchase of LucasFilm
Development news of three new "Star Wars" films — all telling the continuing tale of what happened after "Jedi" — is moving faster than the Millennium Falcon at the Kessel Run. It was announced last week that Walt Disney Co. purchased LucasFilm for $4 billion, and hence, rules the "Star Wars," well, empire. Now, news comes out of Hollywood Tuesday morning that "X-Men: First Class" and "Kick-Ass" director Matthew Vaughn could helm the first new episode. He would then join the likes of science fiction mogul George Lucas, the late Irvin Kerschner, and Richard Marquand.
