To my supporters, Thank you.

Sylianteng congratulates Rep. Stephens and Thanks Supporters

Friends,

Just a few minutes ago, I was told that we had lost the election and I conceded the race to Representative Stephens. I wished Todd and his family well and I wished him good luck and wisdom during his next 2 years as our State Representative.

Folks, I got into this race knowing that there was a possibility of losing this election, but I kept fighting (with your support) because I knew that our cause and our message was right. Despite the loss, I still believe that. I hope you still continue to believe that too. Remember, that this election loss doesnt mean our message is dead. We began this campaign with the hope to change the Commonwealth; to make it a better place for our children and our grandchildren. We still must fight to do so. Maybe not directly in Harrisburg, but here through continuing grassroots organizing. I hope you will join me in this effort. But that is for tomorrow. Tonight, I want to simply thank each and everyone of you for your prayers, love and support.

I want to thank the grandparents who knocked doors for me, because they wanted a better world for their grandkids; the parents who wanted to make sure their kids as well as their neighbors' kids had access to great public schools; the college kids who are scared about the potential impact fracking may have on the environment; the small business owner who donated to the campaign because he wanted to make sure that his community business also had a voice in Harrisburg, not just the big corporations; my niece and nephew who saved up $2.56 in coins put it in a white envelope and planned to donate it to my campaign to help me win; and everyone else who voted, knocked, called and/or donated to our campaign. Thank you.

I would be remiss if I didnt also thank my wife and daughter, who have gone through so much this year and have sacrificed so much to let me run for this seat. Without my wife's love and support during the highs and lows of this campaign cycle, I would not even have been able to get to this point.

And finally, to my campaign staff (past and present). Thank you for all the hours you have put into this campaign for such little (or no) compensation, simply because you believed in our message. Folks, tonight just wasn't our night. Regardless, it was a great experience because of all of you. I will always cherish the moments spent with all of you and the friendships that we made during this campaign. I hope you will too. Thank you and Good Night.

Will
