Auto Show Starts Saturday

The Philadelphia Auto Show, one of the nation’s biggest, is back for its 113th year.

Philadelphia is a city rich in history, and it’s celebrating another big anniversary this weekend.

The 113th Philadelphia Auto Show starts Saturday and runs through Feb. 16.

“To everyone in the Greater Philadelphia region and beyond, we invite you to come to this year’s Philadelphia Auto Show and find your next,” said Donald Franks of J.L. Freed Honda and 2014 Philadelphia Auto Show Chairman. “Whether your next is a new vehicle for your family, a new dream car or anything in between, this is the place to discover it.”

This year’s show takes up 650,000 square feet, making it the largest in the show’s history. The show features Jeep and Toyota indoor ride experiences; a number of different 2015 pre-production models, including the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible, Ford Mustang and Porsche Macan; concept cars such as the Ferrari 599 Alonso Edition; and classic cars including a 1886 Patent-Motorwagen Replica.

Annually, more than 250,000 people attend the show, which event organizers say influences some $2 billion in auto sales each year.
