Dave Menaker Named Upper Dublin Library Volunteer of the Year

"Reliable," "conscientious," "meticulous," and "precise" describe Dave Menaker.

Upper Dublin Library named their Volunteer of the Year for 2012. This year, Dave Menaker was honored as Volunteer of the Year.

"This year's recipient has been with us since 2008. A truly devoted worker, his nominators described him as "reliable," "conscientious," "meticulous," and "precise" - the highest of praise from librarians. He can be counted on to take on any task, whether it's keeping our shelves well-organized and tidy or playing detective and finding items on our shelves where the rest of us could not. For those who have the chance to work with him, he's no passive volunteer, but instead challenges us regularly, going so far as to even question some of our practices or decisions, but he has become truly a member of the Library family," said Cherilyn Fiory, Director of the Upper Dublin Library.
