Through The Looking Glass

Namaste

When it seems the whole world is one big conspiracy theory, and time has sent you reeling into a tailspin, there's only one thing I imagine doing: retreat. If only mentally, into my own mind, and if only for a short period of time. But only when I'm willing to shut off--and shut out--the external noise that sounds like a buzzing drone that goes on endlessly.  It is here where I know I can find all the answers I am usually looking for, for I know they can exist nowhere else.

I have spent the past few weeks in a constant state of panic, being judged and wondering if I'm on the right path in life. Till it dawned on me that there is no "right" path, only a path that seems right to you.

We try each day to be the best person we can be, yet there are people in life that still feel the need to knock you down, criticize, and do their best to knife you in the heart till you can no longer breathe.  And it's at that point that you know there is no other choice than to stand up stronger than ever and change those criticisms into inspirations: be better and do better than ever before.

There is one mirror in the morning and night to look into...you know who you are and what you've accomplished and what still needs to happen.  What is said in that mirror is a personal reflection. No judgements. You know how you've gotten to this point in life and where you want to go. Only you can choose the next steps. The decisions--and consequences--are yours to make.  Yours alone.  You have enough voices in your head guiding you...you do not need any more outside influences...especially toxic, negative ones...adding their two-cents.

Take time with yourself each day to focus on you, and you alone. Focus only on what's important--truly important--and get rid of the nonsense. Be patient with yourself. Peace in the midst of calm takes time. Be loving and nurturing to yourself. We all deserve to love and be loved. Get rid of any toxic person or situation...if they don't bring love into your world, they don't belong in your world.

Quiet your mind, center your soul, and love yourself.  You, more than anyone else in this world deserve peace and love.
