Two Local Students on National Ranked Soccer Team

Two area U13 soccer players have received national recognition while playing for the Patriot FC U13 team out of Washington Crossing. The team is ranked third in the nation, was the Eastern PA State Champion, a US Youth Soccer Region One finalist, and qualified for the nationals in both the National Premier League and the Super Y League.

The students, Will Noe, who is entering 8th grade at Sandy Run Middle School, and Michael Capone, who is entering the 8th grade at Germantown Academy, defeated four other state champions before losing in the finals of the US Youth Soccer Region One Tournament.

The team has won at the EPYSA State Championship after playing a man down for two overtimes and won on penalty kicks.
