Ambler Junior Baseball's travel league will hold tryouts this weekend for boys ages 10 through 13. The league begins the first week of April and will run through the second week in June.
Scott Miller, President of AJB, said the travel team games are held mostly on Fridays and Sundays and offer the travel team members to play on the Cal Ripkin recreation league teams as well, which have games mostly on Saturdays and a few during the week.
He explained that for athletes to play in the Cal Ripkin World Series, they will need to play in at least 50 percent of the recreational league games.
Interested families should send player names, age, days of birth, parents' name, parent's cell phone number, parent's e-mail address, and if the athlete has played baseball before to email@example.com and parent's will be contacted with a field and time for tryouts.
Ambler Junior Baseball covers the following zip codes: 19002, 19025, 19034 and 19019, which is all of Ambler Borough, and parts of Upper Dublin Township, Lower Gwynedd Township and Whitpain Township.
