Upper Dublin to Begin Busing Consortium with Private School Students

Upper Dublin School District will share a number of private school bus runs with Springfield Township School District.

Superintendent Michael Pladus discussed the Upper Dublin and Springfield Township transportation consortium which will begin this school year.

Pladus said that there will be a number of shared runs for private school students that are bused outside of the district. However, students that are bused within the district shouldn't see an impact.

Business Administrator Brenda Bray said while creating bus routes, the administration took time changes of schools into account, as well as the route and time on the bus and both school districts worked together to make the consortium "as flawless as possible."

She added that the biggest concern now is getting information to parents, as Upper Dublin students could be riding on Springfield buses.

Pladus added that a robo-call is going out Tuesday to parents of private school students about the consortium.
