Upper Dublin Baseball Named American Conference Co-Champions

The Flying Cardinals join Upper Moreland in finishing the season 14-4.

With the Flying Cardinals 8-1 win over Upper Merion on Monday, Upper Dublin can officially stake their claim to a portion of the American Conference Championship of the Suburban One League.

The American Conference consists of seven teams, and each team plays the other six teams three times during the season. Both Upper Dublin and Upper Moreland finished the season with records of 14-4, but the Flying Cardinals swept the three-game season series against the Bears. Upper Morelands only other loss of the season was to Wissahickon.

Despite the sweep, both teams will share this year's title, as the championship is decided by overall record, and not head to head matchups.

In the clinching game against Upper Merion, Pitcher Jesse Kohler tossed a complete game while allowing only four hits, and Andrew Carber lead the offense with three hits on the afternoon.

The Upper Dublin Patch would like to thank Ken Brown for submitting the fantastic photos from the game against Upper Merion.

Of course, BoA could also promote better money habits if it stopped gouging people on hidden fees.
