UDSD Could Eliminate Clubs to Balance 2014-15 Budget

Upper Dublin School District could eliminate clubs, exchange programs, SAT prep programs, to save $208,613 in the 2014-15 school year budget according to a report in the Ambler Gazette. The plan calls for 34 activities to be eliminated and 29 clubs to be reduced, "losing one or two advisors."

The plan began because Upper Dublin School District has only $58,000 in fund balance in the 2013-14 budget and made furloughs and demotions to "a number of teachers to balance the 2013-14 budget."
