UD Sports: Softball Trounces Upper Moreland, 15-3

The Upper Dublin softball team continued their winning ways on Wednesday, beating an error-plagued Upper Moreland squad by a score of 15-3.
Ashleigh Sharp extended her consecutive hit streak to seven, going 3 for 3 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI, and the tandem of Rachel Hyman and Sarah Rosenbaum combined to go 5 for 6 with 2 runs scored and six RBI.
Upper Moreland took the early lead with 2 runs in the top of the first inning, but the Lady Cards quickly answered with 2 runs in the bottom of the inning and 4 more in the bottom of the second.

Pitcher Kristen Ganderton had a solid outing for the Lady Cards, striking out 2 while scattering five hits and a walk. Upper Moreland's Lindsay Walder was charged with the loss, though 11 of the 15 runs were unearned.
Upper Dublin is now 5-4 overall and 3-2 in the Suburban One League. Their next game is at Wissahickon on Friday.
