UD Sports: Softball Falls To Upper Merion, 14-6
Eight errors plague the Lady Cards as they fall to 2-3 on the season
The Upper Dublin softball team fell to the Upper Merion Vikings 14-6 on Tuesday afternoon, in a game in which the Lady Cardinals had more errors than runs.
The Vikings squad struck early and often, scoring runs in every inning except the third and taking advantage of the eight errors committed by the Lady Cards.
Upper Merion's Krysta Wellington went 2-4 with a homerun, 3 RBIs and three runs scored, and Nicole Battaglio went 3-5 with a homerun, 2 RBIs and a run scored.

The Lady Cards' Ashleigh Sharp had another solid outing, going 3-4 with 2 runs scored, and Rachel Hyman went 3-4 with a double and 2 RBIs, but neither effort was enough to overcome the offensive explosion by the Vikings.
Lady Cards pitcher Kristen Ganderton was handed the loss, despite fanning 9 and not allowing a single earned run.

The loss drops the Upper Dublin squad to 2-3 on the season, as they hit the road to face Plymouth-Whitemarsh on Thursday.
