UD Sports: Lacrosse Blanks Rival Wissahickon, 17-0
With the win, the Flying Cardinals remain undefeated in league play.
The Flying Cardinals continued their run of dominance on Monday afternoon, outscoring Wissahickon 17-0 and strengthening their grip on first place in the Suburban One League.
Brooke Callahan and Kelly Cross were both credited with 4 goals and 4 assists, and Julie Cross added in another 3 goals and 1 assist. Emily Hitchings, Taylor D'Ginto, Rachel DiFrangia and Anna Trentini also scored for the Flying Cardinals.
Freshman goalie Sarah Gallagher had 5 saves on the afternoon, and stingy defense from Steph Speese, Danielle Ferguson, Anna Petrucci and Sam Boyd helped contribute to the shutout.
