Our Lady of Mercy Regional Catholic School has been preparing all summer for a brand new school year, which will combine three local Catholic elementary schools into the one site, at 29 Conwell Drive in Maple Glen.
According to the Ambler Gazette, the new school will enroll 590 students, has hired “26 homeroom teachers, with three teachers per grade plus two kindergarten teachers. Additionally, the school has also hired physical education, library, music, Spanish, honors math and resource teachers.”
Our Lady of Mercy will be installing modular classrooms for art, music and band classes this year, however, no further changes to the building will be made this school year.
Kathleen Dilts, principal of Our Lady of Mercy, told the Ambler Gazette that “plans were ‘moving forward’ on the replacement of a new playground.”
