Nor'easter Could Impact Thanksgiving Travel

"The timing of this storm couldn't be worse," a government agency says, warning travelers to expect delays.

A Nor'easter is headed our way, and the strength and timing of the storm are almost guaranteed to disrupt holiday travel plans, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said.

"The timing of this storm couldn't be worse," the NOAA said in a release. "Travel conditions will deteriorate (starting) late Tuesday night. ... Delays can be expected regardless of travel mode."

The storm will begin late Tuesday and will continue through Thanksgiving Day. As with all Nor'easters, strong winds and periods of heavy rains should be expected. The NOAA said that the region likely won't see much ground flooding, thanks to recent dry conditions, but that it's likely that roadways will flood simply because of the volume of rain.

Snowfall is possible, particularly in the Lehigh Valley.
