EPI Center in Imminent Danger of Demolition

The Upper Dublin Board of Commissioners is expected to vote on demolition bids in September.

With an engineering estimate to renovate the EPI Center in Oreland, the Upper Dublin Board of Commissioners has voted to seek out demolition bids, which are expected to be ready for voting at their September meeting, according to an article in the Ambler Gazette.

The Friends of East Oreland Schoolhouse set up a nonprofit to save the "1909 and 1924 Wissahickon stone parts of the building" and presented a plan to create a small park where the most recent addition currently is. The nonprofit also lined up tenants for the building.

The only way to save the historic building is to find a buyer.
