Corbett Met Special Prosecutor Over Sandusky Delays

Corbett was the commonwealth's Attorney General when his office received the case in 2009. Jerry Sandusky wasn't arrested until November 2011.

Gov. Tom Corbett this week met with a special prosecutor to discuss why it took so long to bring charges against former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky.

That likely means that Attorney General Kathleen Kane's review of the Sandusky case is nearly done, PennLive reported.

During her 2012 campaign, Kane frequently questioned why it took Corbett's office some three years to bring charges against Sandusky, The Philadelphia Inquirer said.

Corbett was the commonwealth's Attorney General when his office received the case in 2009. Sandusky wasn't arrested until November 2011.

Corbett ran for governor in 2010. There has been speculation that Corbett timed the investigation so that the case wouldn't break before his gubernatorial run, PennLive said.

Sandusky, a former assistant coach at Penn State, was convicted in June 2012 of 45 out of 48 counts of child sexual abuse, and is serving 30 to 60 years in state prison.

Lets go shale the whole state to line my pockets with kickbacks and let people like Sandusky run an entire organization that preys on at-risks youths for his own demented reasons, way to go Gov! Someone's priorities are askew.

His whole "platform" was arresting and convicting child predators (whether some were actually predators was never really looked into that closely and people's lives were completely destroyed in what I believe to be his half-baked Chris Hanson-esque witch hunt). Meanwhile, Sandusky roamed freely taking advantage of his power and position at Penn State and gleefully destroying lives in his own way. This whole story is disgusting and shameful. Corbett is a crook.

Corbett takes kids' Sunday school offerings and then he gives it to the oil companies. He hates puppies AND kittens. He likes bad things. He is a really mean meanie!
