THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING
During the early evening of April 19, the Upper Dublin Police Department responded to a report of a theft in-progress along the 100-block of Woodside Circle in Dresher.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who stated that she was sitting outside of her home along with a friend when a green, four-door Honda sedan with three black male occupants approached them.
One of the occupants exited the vehicle and asked the victim if he could use her phone, stating he had an emergency. The victim obliged, handing over her iPhone 4S with a blue case, and the male walked back to the car to make a phone call. The vehicle then drove off at a high rate of speed.
The green Honda sedan was described as having tinted windows and a dent in the left-front bumper. It was last seen heading towards North Hills along Fitzwatertown Road.
HIT AND RUN
During the early evening of April 18, the Upper Dublin Police Department responded to a report of a hit-and-run along the 1600-block of Twining Road in Willow Grove.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the homeowner, who stated that their spouse had parked their green Chevy Camaro in the driveway at 9:30 p.m. the previous night. The vehicle owner awoke in the morning to find a large dent and cracked fiberglass to the right-front portion of the vehicle.
The victim stated that passing vehicles frequently use their driveway to turn around, and that they suspect something similar had happened overnight. The homeowner added that two drunk drivers had previously driven through their property, causing two separate accidents.
This case has been closed due to a lack of evidence.
