UDPD Reports: Red Spray Paint Vandalizes Neighborhood

Police incident reports from Upper Dublin Police.

Threats - On Oct. 12, a student from Wordsworth Academy came to school with a piece of a golf club and threatened to swing it at another group of students.

Theft - On Oct. 12, UDPD took reports of a cell phone theft at Upper Dublin High school.

Theft - One Oct. 15, at 3:57 p.m., theft of registration stickers from vehicles was reported at St. Mary's.

Vandalism - On Oct. 14, at approximately 2:07 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 600 block of Ardross Ave. in the Ambler section of Upper Dublin Township for the report of vandalism to property. Upon arrival, the officer met with the property owner who showed the officer red paint which had been sprayed on the grill and hood of his volvo wagon. He stated that this occurred approximately 20 minutes earlier. At this time, an individual walked up stating she was a neighbor and stated they noticed spray paint to their mailbox at approximately 8:20 a.m. that morning. The officer checked the area for further damage, noting spray paint on mailboxes located at 614 and 615 Ardross. No further mischief was discovered.

Theft - On Oct. 11, at approximately 7:26 p.m., an officer responded to LA Fitness to take a report of a theft that occurred earlier. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the victim, who stated that on Oct. 10, he entered LA Fitness at 5:05 a.m. and placed his jacket with his car/house/work keys in the jacket in LA Fitness's coat closet. When he was done working out, at 5:50 a.m., he returned to find his jacket missing. He said he waited a day to see if it would be returned but it had not been. In the presence of the officer, a private tow company opened the victim's vehicle and towed it from the LA Fitness parking lot. He checked the vehicle and said it have not been entered since he was last in it. We checked the video from LA Fitness and could not come up with a possible suspect. THe jacket was a black, soft shell jacket with Aerotech embroidered in the front

Vandalism - On Oct. 14, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a victim responded to the Upper Dublin Police Department to advise that his wife found red spray paint on the front of the garage doors. The victim stated that he received a phone call from his wife had that the had not seen the criminal mischief at this time.

Theft from Vehicle - On Saturday, Oct. 12, at approximately 7:18 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Lulu Country Club in reference to a vehicle that was broken into. Upon arrival, the officer met with the victim who reported that sometime, approximately around 12 p.m., his vehicle was broken into and a large amount of cash was taken. Nothing else was taken from the vehicle. 

Hit and Run - On Thursday, Oct. 11, at 7:32 p.m., a victim reported that at approximately 6:50 p.m., his vehicle was side swiped by an unknown type truck. The victim stated that he was traveling east on Norristown Rd. in the curb lane attempting to make a right onto east-bound Welsh Rd. As he was about the make his turn, an unknown type truck, who was traveling east on Norristown Rd., in the center lane, had struck his driver's mirror. The truck had continued east on Norristown Rd. The victim was unable to give a description of the vehicle or vehicle registration. There was evidence of the accident, namely pieces of the side mirror in the roadway. The victim did not report any injuries.
