UDPD Reports: Public Drunkenness at the Fireside

Weekly Upper Dublin Police reports.

All information is according to official police reports filed at the Upper Dublin Police Department. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Public Drunkenness: At approximately 11:35 p.m. on February 6, Upper Dublin Police were dispatched to the Fireside Bar and Grille after staff reported that a patron, John Pistilli, 30, of the 200 block of Spring Garden Street, Ambler, smashed a pint glass in the parking lot, according to a police report. Police found Pistilli walking in front of Ambler Doughnuts and upon speaking with him, found him to be extremely intoxicated, the report says. It was determined that Pistilli had a BAC of .258 percent and he was issued a citation for Public Drunkenness.

Motor Vehicle Break-in: At approximately 7:24 a.m. on February 6, Upper Dublin police responded to St. Mary’s Villa for the report of a vehicle break-in. There, the driver of a black 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe told police that an unknown person had pried his dashboard open, pushed in his AC unit, and stolen his CD/DVD player.

Theft: At approximately 5:13 p.m. on February 2, a resident of the 500 block of Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, called Upper Dublin Police to report that someone had stolen his wallet and spare change from his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway. According to the victim, the theft occurred on January 29, sometime between 10:00 and 11:15 p.m.

Fraudulent checks: At approximately 1:41 p.m. on February 7, the manager of a shoe store in Willow Grove told Upper Dublin Police that a black male had cashed two counterfeit checks the night before. According to the manager, the man, who was accompanied by a female, used two fraudulent $100 American Express Traveler’s checks to pay for three pairs of shoes totaling $102.85, and also received $97.15 in change. Detectives investigate.
