UD Police Asking Witnesses of Monday Motorcycle Accident to Contact Department

The Upper Dublin Township Police Department are asking anyone that witnessed the accident that occurred at Bethlehem Pike and Hagues Mill Rd. on Monday afternoon to contact the department.

Upper Dublin Township Police are asking that anyone who witnessed the at Bethlehem Pike and Hagues Mill Rd. around 1 p.m., to contact the police department.

The crash involved two motor vehicles: a motorcycle and an Upper Dublin Township trash truck.

According to a press release from the Upper Dublin Township Police, the initial investigation shows that the trash truck was traveling north on Bethlehem Pike and was making a right turn onto Hagues Mill Road.

Police investigation shows that the motorcycle was also traveling north on Bethlehem Pike and struck the trash truck as it was making its right turn.

According to Upper Dublin Police, "The motorcycle, along with its operator came to rest under the trash truck. There was no passenger on the motorcycle. The trash truck was occupied by two persons. The operator of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene by the Montgomery County Coroner."

The crash is still under investigation. Upper Dublin Police are asking that anyone who witnessed the accident contact the department at 215-646-2100.

The identification of the motorcycle operator has not been released.
