Telford Man Arrested After Chase Through Glenside Yards

Abington Police arrested a man earlier this month after he fled police during an attempted pedestrian stop. 

Flowers, who said he just got off of the train, began running on Mount Carmel Avenue and ran through a driveway in the 2100 block, police said. He continued to run through the rear of the yard and jumped a fence.

Police began to search for him in the backyards around Easton Road and Menlo Avenue; police eventually heard movement in a shed on Mount Carmel Avenue and found Flowers crouched behind a small green sled.

Between the shed and a fence, police found a black backpack that contained two sandwich bags of suspected marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia and two joints. Flowers, who has an active warrant out of Cheltenham for failure to appear, confirmed that the bag was his, police said. 

Flowers was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and related charges.

According to court documents, Flowers was arrested in May 2012 in Cheltenham for felony possession with intent to deliver; he was also arrested in 2010 in Ambler and Whitpain on drug charges.
