Pizza Delivery Guy Allegedly Crashes into Rock Garden

According to police, the man got lost while backing up a road.

Police said a pizza delivery man from Philadelphia got lost in Upper Dublin and ended up stuck in a rock garden.

David Beal, 51, of the 8200 block of Burholme Avenue, Philadelphia, was arrested Feb. 15 shortly after 6:30 p.m. after police said he drove a cream-colored Ford Ranger onto a lawn in the 700 block of Avenue H in the Ardsley section of Upper Dublin.

According to police Beal said he got lost while delivering pizza and ended up on Avenue H; Beal said he attempted to back down the street and drove across the lawn and got caught on a rock because it was dark.

Beal had bloodshot and glassy eyes and smelled of alcohol, according to police. He failed a field sobriety test and had a blood alcohol content of 0.182 percent at 8:07 p.m.

Beal’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 26 at 11 a.m. in front of District Justice Patricia A. Zaffarano.
