former Upper Dublin High School teacher who admitted to giving a minor child a sex toy will serve time behind bars, according to Montgomery News.

Cheryl Bremble, 43, who had lived in Hatboro at the time of her June 2011 arrest, was sentenced on Monday to 30 days to 23 months in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility for sending a female student sexually explicit text messages and giving her a sex device on school property, according to the newspaper.

The judge said Bremble could serve the minimum sentence over 15 consecutive weekends beginning Oct. 11, according to the article and ordered her to complete five years’ probation after she’s paroled from prison.

She had pleaded guilty to the charges in May.

Bremble, who resides in Ambler, had worked as a learning support teacher at Upper Dublin High School and had been employed by the district since 2000. According to her LinkedIn profile, Bremble had worked for Centennial School District from September 1998 until June 2000.

At the time of her arrest, authorities said Bremble had been spending a lot of time with the juvenile victim outside of the school setting, including shopping trips where Bremble purchased the girl several expensive clothing items. Bremble also had sexually explicit conversations with the juvenile victim in person and via text messages.

Bremble gave the girl a sex device on school property and during school hours and encouraged the juvenile to use the device on numerous occasions during text message conversations, according to authorities.
