Ambler Police Reports: Man Arrested for Nov. 21 and 20 Burglaries

Police incident reports from Ambler Borough Police.

Public Drunkenness – Sarina McCorey, 39 yrs. of age of the 100 blk of E Park Ave. was cited on Nov. 25 at 3:44 a.m., for Public Drunkenness after police investigated a suspicious vehicle.  McCorey was transported to the station and lodged until sober.

Theft from Vehicle – A resident of the 100 blk of Mary Ambler Way reported on Nov. 24, that her vehicle was entered over night, and cash, credit cards and a white MacBook laptop were stolen.

Harassment – 4:25 p.m. – On Nov. 23 at 4:25 p.m., Michael Dixon, 25 yrs of age of the 300 block of Valleybrook Rd. was cited for Harassment and Criminal Mischief, after police responded for a reported domestic.  He was transported to the station where he was cited and released.

Hit and Run – A resident of the 200 blk of Bannockburn Ave. reported on Nov. 22, that his vehicle that was parked in front of his residence was struck, with damage to the driver’s side.

Burglary – On Nov. 21 at 9:50 a.m., officers responded to a business located in the 100 blk of E. Butler Ave. for the report of an attempted burglary.  Pry marks were observed on the front door.  No entry was made. Incident is under investigation.

Warrant Service – On Nov. 20, at 10:15 p.m., a traffic stop resulted with the arrest of Salvatore Rocco, Jr., 22 yrs of age of the 400 blk of Church Rd., Lansdale.  Rocco was wanted by the Montgomery Co. Sheriff’s Dept. for failure to appear.  He was transported to the station where he was then released to their custody.

Burglary/Arrest – An officer on foot patrol on E. Butler Ave. heard glass shatter, and observed a subject walking away from a business located in the unit block, resulted with a foot pursuit and the arrest of Derek Martin, 24 yrs of age of the 200 block of Southern Ave. on Nov. 21 at 1:58 a.m.  Investigation revealed that Martin had committed the burglary, as well as two other burglaries on E. Butler Ave. that had been reported on 11/20.  He was arraigned before District Justice Patricia Zaffarano and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
