Marie R. Moulder, Physical Therapist, Graterford Tutor

Marie R. (Frey) Moulder, of Fort Washington, died Friday, April 12 in Abington. She was 86.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Phillip Frey and Margaret (Waker) Frey.

Moulder earned her physical therapy certificate from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974. She worked for Easter Seals, was the department head of PT at Warminster General Hospital and worked at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit.

She was also a Girl Scout Leader and after her retirement she volunteered for 20 years as a tutor at Graterford Correctional Facility as a volunteer for the Prison Literacy Project.

Moulder is survived by four children, Edward Moulder, Joyce Derbyshire, Dian Lyn, and Judith Barber; a sister, Catherine Johnson (Frey); several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ellen Moulder; her brother, Frederick Frey; and her sister, Margaret (Frey) Lee.

A service was held Wednesday at Ambler Church of the Brethren. Interment is in Whitemarsh Memorial Cemetery.
