Louis F. Reimers, Jr., 60, of Ambler

Louis played minor league Baseball with the Reading Phillies and later coached in the Adult Softball Leagues in the Ambler and Lower Gwynedd area.

Louis F. Reimers, Jr., 60 of Ambler PA, died unexpectedly Monday at his sister's home in Quakertown, PA.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Louis F. Sr. and Theresa (nee Trovato) Reimers, Sr.

Louis was a graduate of Wissahickon High School class of 1971 and Mansfield University Class of 1975 with a BS in Criminal Justice.

He worked as a Social Worker with mentally challenged children.

Louis played minor league Baseball with the Reading Phillies and later coached in the Adult Softball Leagues in the Ambler and Lower Gwynedd area. His passion was for sports and movies. 

He was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Ambler. 

He is survived by his Sister Janet Striano-Coull of Quakertown and his Nieces & Nephew Christie Mory, Dana Striano, and Matthew Striano and Grand Nieces and Nephew Matthew, Emily & Francesca Mory.

Relatives and Friends may call Saturday November 10, 2012 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church, Main and Poplar Sts. Ambler with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Eugene Tully, Pastor as Celebrant in St. Joseph's Church, Ambler. Interment will be Private.

Remembrances in his name to Boys Town 2000 Flanagan Blvd. P.O. Box 8000 Boys Town, NE 68010 would be appreciated by the family.
