Joseph T. Dolan, World War II Vet, of Fort Washington

Dolan was a member of St. Alphonsus Church; his funeral Mass is Thursday.

Joseph T. Dolan, of Fort Washington, formerly of Philadelphia, died Friday, April 26 at the Brandywine Senior Living at Dresher Estates. He was 99.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Michael and Sarah (nee Owens) Dolan. Dolan married Elva M. (nee Murphy) in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1941 to 1946.

Dolan is survived by his sons Michael J. of Philadelphia and Thomas F. of Fort Washington; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, his grandchildren Michael J. Dolan Jr. and Maureen E. Dolan, and his siblings, Mary T. and James M. Dolan.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler; and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, May 2, at St. Alphonsus Church 1565 Temple Drive, Maple Glen. A funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. Interment is at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
