Assunta Ciliberto, 83, of North Hills

Assunta Ciliberto, was a loving homemaker and member of Queen of Peace Church in Ardsley.

Assunta Ciliberto, 83, of North Hills, PA, died suddenly on April 26, 2012 at Abington Memorial Hospital.

She was the loving wife of the late Gregorio Ciliberto.

Assunta was born in Maida, Italy on August 30, 1928 to the late Francesco and Teresa (Colelli) LoPrete.

She was a loving homemaker and member of Queen of Peace Church in Ardsley, PA.

Assunta enjoyed cooking and knitting.

She was a loving, caring person who always put others ahead of herself.

She loved spending time with her family especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by 6 children: Frank (Silvia), Anthony (Donna), Teresa, Dominic (Valerie), Robert Ciliberto (Tricia) and Caterina Briatico (Fernaldo); 2 sisters: Angela Buccafuri and Maria Cerminera; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister Teresa LoPrete.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 10:30AM at Queen of Peace Church, 820 North Hills Ave., Ardsley, PA.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6:30-9PM and Wed. from 8:30 – 10 AM at Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home, 951 E. Butler Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.

Entombment will be in Maida Cemetery in the family crypt at a later date.
