The Unfinished Hero Series by Kristen Ashley

Kristen Ashley's Unfinished Heroes series is a romantic, erotic, dangerous take on heroism when it falls on the other side of what is seen as legal.

"Where have all the good men gone?  And where are all the gods?  Where's the street-wise Hercules?  To fight the rising odds?..." Bonnie Tyler begs the answer to these questions in her 1984 smash hit "Holding Out for a Hero."  Which leads me to ask another question...what makes a man a hero?  We have grown up with the knowledge that Firefighters, Police Officers, Doctors, and Military (all branches) ARE in fact heroes.  We have watched our share of Superman, Spider-man, Thor (a personal favorite), and Iron Man to know that they are heroes.  We have seen news clips and internet feed of "normal everyday" people doing extraordinary things and we just know that they are heroes.  But if we were to break it down, if we were to take away the "knowledge" and go straight to the definition, straight for the feeling...what would a hero be?  How would he make you feel?  Bonnie Tylers soulfully pleads....

When I hear her sing that song, I picture a strong beautiful man who will do whatever it takes to keep the people who he cares about safe.  I picture an alpha male at his finest that is loyal and gets loyalty in return, that is kind and receives kindness in spades and that is one big bad Mother-F*@ker so don't mess with those that he loves!!!  I see....every one of Kristen Ashley's heroes.  No one writes better alpha heroes than Kristen...she is the master.  Why do I think so?  Because Kristen has this way of writing the most balanced heroes.  They are strong, serious, big, bad, sexy, smoldering, daring, dangerous, bad-ass and funny as hell!  Every single one of Kristen's men have made me laugh and every one has made me swoon, for me..it doesn't get better than that!!.....
