In life, there are two kinds of people, those with vision and those without. NO .. I am not talking about seeing into the future or into the past (although, that would be cool in a crazy sort of way!) I am talking about the ability to see past the obvious and look into what could be. For example, when I was house hunting with my husband, we walked into a home…we looked around and it was horrible. My husband looked at me and said in a sarcastic voice, “Well honey, what do you think?” I continued to walk around and then to his shock I said, ” I love it! Once we change everything..it will be perfect!”
In Lynn Kiele Bonasia’s debut novel, “Some Assembly Required,” I found myself needing to look past some of the squeaky flooring and chipped paint in order to see the true beauty of the story unfolding. People often ask me how I can continue to read a book that doesn’t “grab” me right away, the answer is, sometimes the wait is worth it.
