A Pay It Square account has been set up to help victims of the Sept. 8 fire in Willow Grove that destroyed four dwellings within two twin structures and damaged a fifth structure, as previously reported by Patch.

A Facebook group has been set up to support Alex Wood, a resident of the 1900 block of Fairview Avenue in the Willow Grove section of Abington Township, who lost his home during the late night fire.

According to that Facebook page, "Alex also sustained burns to his hands in an attempt to stop the fire from spreading."

According to the Pay It Square page for the Wood family, the funds collected through the fundraiser will help the Wood family "get a jump start on the long journey of recovery ahead of them."

The Wood family was one of the families who lost their house and all of their possessions due to this tragic incident. They resided at 1913 Fairview Ave, which was the house directly next door to the house where the blaze began. A webpage has been set up to help the Wood's during this difficult time in their lives. Please visit the webpage and if possible, please make a donation. All funds collected are going to go towards helping Alex and John Wood get back on their feet. Please visit the following webpages to read more about the tragedy, view pictures, and if it's within your means, make a donation. Thank you so much! https://www.facebook.com/groups/516730341729584/ http://www.payitsquare.com/collect-page/16494

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to the Wood family. So far we have reached 20% of our goal so far and pray that more people will help contribute to the rebuilding of their lives. They have lost EVERYTHING and are currently relying on the generosity of family, friends, and strangers like yourself, to get by. Please, if it is within your means, visit the donation webpage we have set up and give whatever you can, to help both Alex and John continue through this difficult time and begin to start rebuilding their lives. No amount is too small. And even if you can only post a comment on the website to wish them well during this time, please do so. Words can't describe how much it will mean to them. The website to make a donation or post a comment is located below: ------------------------------------------------http://www.payitsquare.com/collect-page/16494
