Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Our Area

Authorities are urging residents to take precautionary measures and monitor local weather reports.

According to the Montgomery County ReadyNotifyPA alert system, the National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Montgomery County and the surrounding area.

Sever thunderstorms can produce winds in excess of 58 miles per hour and even hail that can damage homes and personal property. Flash floods and power outages are also possible. The National Weather Service recommends staying on lower levels of your home and staying clear of windows. Secure all windows and doors and have flashlights or candles at the ready.

Residents should also report power outages and downed trees and wires to local authorities. Report power outages to PECO by calling 1-800-841-4141 and report road hazzards and downed trees to your local police.
