RECALL: Homer's All Purpose Bucket Mugs for Fire Hazard

Mugs sold at Home Depot during October are being recalled.

Home Depot is recalling approximately 3,700 mugs sold during October 2012 for fire hazard.

The Homer All-Purpose Bucket Mug's silver colored cumulated bucket handle below the rim can spark when used in the microwave, which can pose a fire hazard to consumers, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission's recall.

Consumers should stop using the mugs immediately and return it to a Home Depot store for a full refund.

Consumer can also contact Home Depot at 877-527-0313 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, or online at www.homedepot.com.

Umm...how about keeping the mug and keep it out of the microwave? Simple solution.

Agreed, I'm surprised it was recalled. Its pretty clear there is something metallic on it.

In unrelated news, all metal spoons ever manufactured have been recalled because some idiot put them in the microwave.
